Conduit Tube

A Conduit Tube is a hollow tube that wires are pulled through during installation. This differs from cable, which is a group of wires encased inside a flexible protective sheathing. The most common type of cable used in home wiring is non-metallic (NM), or Romex, cable. It is a tube in which electrical wires are housed for a variety of building or structural applications. Conduit is piping or tubing designed to enclose and protect the wires. The Conduit Tube is a tube used to protect and route electrical wiring in a building or structure. Electrical conduit may be made of metal, plastic, fiber, or fired clay.
